The catalyst for Penn’s emotive Impact installation Day of Judgement, his first rendition entitled Titans depicts two male gorillas in a violent exchange. Their arms outstretched towards each other they appear as though indomitable, yet should they collide their fragile crystal glass forms would shatter; a powerful metaphor for the impact deforestation is having on their natural habitat.
