A tribute to the historic bond between man and beast, Alliance recognises the contributions of domesticated animals to mankind’s endeavour to populate and dominate every continent on earth. Rearing on its hind legs the composition suggests strength, yet the delicate nature of the medium used hints to the subservient nature of the animal’s relationship with the human race.

Positioned on a bespoke plinth the artist has stipulated that the work be installed in a public forum outside of the traditional gallery environment thus encouraging a wider conversation about the work’s intent whilst allowing the piece to interact with its natural surroundings.
